Seriously, what are you thinking Infinity Ward? The upcoming issue of Game Informer as apparently leaked online with new information about Modern Warfare 2. Gossip Gamer has posted an article with the details about the title including this:

“No co-op in story mode, but separate missions reminiscent of CoD4’s Mile High Club include cooperative multiplayer.”

I just can’t understand this decision at all. The ONE feature that was missing from CoD 4 that would have somehow made the game better than it was is co-op story mode. It is the one thing that every fan of the series has wanted since the original CoD. Story mode co-op has become a standard in a lot of games today: Gears of War, Halo 3, Resident Evil 5, hell even CoD: World at War has it. If Treyarch can put co-op in there sup-bar CoD game then what the fuck is wrong with Infinity Ward?

CoD 4 is one of my favorite games of this generation which featured both fantastic single and multi-player experiences. I am sure that the single player experience of MW 2 will be a great one, its just a shame that Infinity Ward has continued to fail to listen to its fans pleas with coming release of their newest title. I think people need to start complaining about this now and maybe the developers will be able to do something before the game comes out, or even patch it soon after.
