They are done by Monty Oum, the same guy who did the Haloid (Halo Metroid) action fan movies (which were also pretty kick ass).

I believe he was hired by Midway.

There is a “Making of” Video somewhere on game trailers for his Halo-Metriod movie where he shows how he does a lot of this crap.

I didn’t like Dead Fantasy 3 that much, but I guess that is just compared to the first 2. I know he has shown previews for Dead Fantasy 4 and 5 at anime conventions… but yeah… once we get the rest of the story it’ll be all good.

I am still kind of hoping that he’ll add a Final Fantasy 6 version of Terra who turns all Dragon Ball Z like with her Esper Morphing ftw!

It’s pretty interesting because he points out all the stuff that we don’t notice. He basically admits that half the stuff he does get’s half assed (understandably) because he works on these alone or with very little help but the blurring and movement is so fast that we don’t know it. It’s basically stuff you would only notice if you slowed everything down frame by frame.
