I had got a desire to start my own business, nevertheless I did not have got enough amount of money to do it. Thank heaven my close mate recommended to utilize the mortgage loans. Thence I received the college loan and realized my dream.

I think that what he was doing is probably the most creative and coolest way to grief. It was even considered legal by the devs on the forums!

City of Heroes, if anything else, is more role play than WoW and the line is clearly drawn if you are a "Hero" or a "Villain". Twixt just took the idea of "Hero" to a whole new level - targeting villains with his special power and creatively punished them for their chosen profession. That's awesome!

Getting mad at him would be like people getting mad at Superman from being too Super and not having kryptonite on you to counter. Batman would be prepared. The villains should be too. Not to mention they shouldn't be in a PVP zone to begin with if they can't stand actual PVPing...

The power was in the game. If said power was "overpowered" then game Dev's could easily make so that if you were targeted with a Teleport spell then you get tagged with some sort of "sickness" that makes it so you do not lose EXP if you die via an NPC for 1 minute. If it is "overpowered" they could just remove it or make a hard counter for it. Thus far they haven't even with an outcry for something to be done.

Although I'm not an expert since I quit CoH before there was even CoV or PVP but I am fairly sure that the Villains could have countered this behavior. Attacking him with large numbers or finding a villain with an equivalent power to Teleport Twixt to the opposing NPC area. They should have gotten 50 villains together and just rushed him or kept had the server keep an eye on Twixt and warn people from entering that zone while he was there.

For me - this is exactly what makes PVP cool. There was a rogue on the Andorhal PVP server for World of Warcraft who was also considered "Socially unacceptable" in that he played a rogue and sat stealth in major towns, stunning people and ganking all day long. Many people cried foul and it wasn't until 100's of rogues took up the same task that they eventually changed how the stealth system worked.

There ARE exploits in games though that ARE game breaking. Such as finding and exploiting NPC pathing so that they cannot protect lower level players or finding holes in the environment so that you can shoot people from behind walls. These are griefing examples that infuriate me and SHOULD be punished.

Since this was in the context of the game and smack right in the middle of a PVP zone... it's awesome. Viva la Twixt!

On a side note... look how bad-ass he looked doing it. At one point the camera zooms to the other side of the bridge and you see a whole crap load of health bars of villains... like they were obviously trying to gang up and beat him and just couldn't do it.

To me it sounds like his point is completely valid. The one thing that I would like to know is whether or not people use that ability in actual (actually) PvP or not. If people DO use that ability in PvP the professor's point is completely valide. If people do NOT use that ability in PvP, then his point is only slightly less valid.

I mean, its a bunch of people sitting around in a PvP are so that can just talk to each other. That is fucking retarded. If you are a hero and want to talk to a villain then just make a villain character. That or get a bunch of people to ask the developers to implement an a safe zone where both factions can be and nobody can attack or use abilities.

The way I see it as being a person on the outside is that he is entering a PvP environment where people chose to not fight and he started killing people and then people got mad at him for it. I really don't think the method in which he used to kill people make a difference because I would assume that people would get angry after constant attacking.

If those people didn't like it, then they can fucking leave. It is a PvP area so they should just get the sand out of their vagina and deal with it.
