Jorge, do you mean TMNT Forever, the movie which was a cartoon cross-over between 1980's TMNT and 2000's TMNT? That was hella sweet.

As for this Re-shelling business, they couldn't even get the "My toe! My toe!" sound right. So disappointing.... especially since Geeeoff hit the nail on the head by pointing out that this was finally a title which is near and dear to my heart.

There's also issues with who owns rights to which characters. Laird/Eastman sold all rights to Nickelodeon, but thre is some speculation that some characters, IE Bebob/Rocksteady, are owned by a different company altogether. If you are big fans of the franchise, you should watch the last tv movie they did. It was really a freaking love letter to the fans.

I don't have anything to say to this other than I totally agree. I guess in a world where everything is getting remade or "rebooted," I've finally come across a title that's near and dear to my (as well as a lot of gamers) heart. I played through to the prehistoric level to fight the gelatinous creature instead of Slash and was immediately turned off. Now, having done some research, I discovered that the SNES version that I grew up playing was actually pretty radically different from the Arcade Version, which I never had the chance to play. Turns out, Slash, the boss from the prehistoric level, was a replacement from the arcade version. There are some other alterations that seem to me like the developers were going for a mixture of the arcade original and the SNES classic. If you haven't played both, or only played the SNES version then you'll likely miss out on the mix'n'match. That being said, I'm still happy to be upset by this remake. I'd rather have seen an Arcade port or an SNES port maybe a tweak to the graphics, but not this complete overhaul. Meh.
