Mistwalker May! Episode I
Out of loyalty to the magestic Hironobu Sakaguchi, but out of time for playing RPGs, I have found myself purchasing every Mistwalker game, yet playing none of them. I get the itch every so often to play a JRPG (right now I’m feeling it for Final Fantasy IX), but I feel guilty that my unopened copy of Lost Odyssey is sitting on my shelf. In order to sedate this guilt, I have declared May 2010 Mistwalker May! I will play every one* of their games this month and report to you – the loving reader – about my ventures into Sakaguchi’s development career, post-Square Enix.
The first game on the docket is Mistwalker’s first venture: Blue Dragon. I purchased this game for six dollars new while on a vacation down to Portland, Oregon last October. The game was released stateside in 2007 and had characters inspired by Akira Toriyama (the Dragon Ball Z guy).
I’m not entirely sure what the game is about other than blue dragons, but it will probably be a turn-based RPG.
Feel free to follow my Xbox expoits on my Raptr account (because I need to be babysat in order to finish any game): http://raptr.com/Alexanderbevier
*I wont be playing “ASH: Archaic Sealed Heart” for Nintendo DS because it never came to the US. I have no desire to import a text-heavy RPG, either.
