I don’t know about everyone else, but every time I hear about an “Avatar” game on XBLA, it makes me think of super-tall blue furries, or bald children who can manipulate the elements.  So, you can imagine what I was thinking when I heard about Avatar Puzzle Pop, developed by the cleverly titled, one-man “studioette”, A GAME BY Andrew Wilson.

The game is a classic style puzzle in which you connect two groups of blocks of the same color to remove them from the play field, thus scoring points!  You can combo blocks together for even more points!  The game includes 6 game modes and other puzzle necessities as well:

Game Modes:
-Line
-Stage
-Bomb
-VS
-Endless
-Dice

Features:

-Interaction with Xbox Avatars (sorry, no Airbenders or Na’vi)
-Up to 2 players
-Custom soundtracks
-High score tables

Oh, did I mention that it’s only a DOLLAR?! It may not be very flashy or innovative, but for just a buck, you can’t go wrong!
