Mortal Kombat Webisodes – Coming to Internet Near You

Mortal Kombat Webisodes – Coming to Internet Near You

Remember that ridiculous Mortal Kombat trailer that came out last summer? At the time, no one really had any idea what it was. Rumors started coming out that it was an independent short film shot to show Warner Bros. what a revamped version of Mortal Kombat could be. Well their plan worked… sort of. Director of the short, Kevin Tancharoen, has been green lit for a 10-part internet series based off the trailer.

NBA JAM Releases November 17 – Game Modes Confirmed

NBA JAM Releases November 17 – Game Modes Confirmed

NBA Jam was set to make a comeback in a bonus game for people purchasing EA’s NBA Elite 11. As most of you know, Jordan put an end to NBA Elite for now, but fear not because NBA Jam is set to release as its own fully packaged game on November 17. There has been some confusion as to what will be on the new NBA Jam; as the version that was to release with Elite was supposed to be a watered-down version of Jam with fewer features and game modes.  A new breakdown of all the features and game modes has been released just in time, and it’s good news for Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3 owners who would like to take their game to the online courts.

Jordan Killed EA’s “NBA Elite 11″

Jordan Killed EA’s “NBA Elite 11″

It’s been 7 years since Michael Jordan played an NBA game, but that doesn’t mean he isn’t finished doing what he did best: killing the competition. After a long postponement, EA Sports has officially canceled NBA Elite 11, leaving NBA 2k11 as the only basketball simulation game of the year. To most it seemed this was a long time overdue, but others like myself, who stuck by and loved NBA Live, will be sad to see it go.

NBA JAM Rosters Released – Who Ya Got?

NBA JAM Rosters Released – Who Ya Got?

With the Eastern Conference rosters being announced a week ago, today they announced the Western Conference to give us a full list of the 30 teams and players available in the upcoming NBA Jam game for the Nintendo Wii (as well as a watered down version bundled with NBA Elite for Xbox 360 and Playstation 3).  Each team consists of at least 3 current players (some feature 4), as well as at least one legend, or, in the case where a team has no legend in its history, the team’s mascot! Well I don’t know about the rest of you, but when I see a list of rosters and players, I instantly want to try and figure out who I think the best teams will be.

Fatalities in High Definition! – The Mortal Kombat HD Kollection

Fatalities in High Definition! – The Mortal Kombat HD Kollection

Remaking old video games with updated, super crisp, stellar looking graphics has been an ongoing trend for a while now.  Super Street Fighter 2 Turbo HD Remix (SSF2THR) showed us all how cool a high def remake of a classic fighting game could be.  But some of us yearned for a little more.  Some of us wanted to see what someone’s head and spinal cord being ripped out looked like in 1080p on a 47″ LCD TV.  Well folks, that time is almost upon us with the Mortal Kombat HD Kollection! Infinity Ward Ripped Me Off $15, and I Liked It!

The Modern Warfare 2 Stimulus Package has been out for a little over a week now.  Some of you may have bought it already, but others might be wary of the 1200 Microsoft Points (or $15) for three new maps bundled with two old ones.  Seeing as how MW2 is the only game I have been playing the last few months, I decided “Why the hell not?  Better to play them now than when I’ll eventually buy them in a few months anyway, right?”  Now, since then I have been playing the new maps for a week, and I am here with my thoughts on them and to let you know if I thought it was worth it buying.
