Minecraft 1.8 (Adventure Update) wants you to know its coming… eventually.

With September 8th rapidly approaching millions of Minecrafters are gearing up for what might be the biggest update so far. The “Adventure Update” will include the addition of new enemies, new combat mechanics, more game modes, and the long awaited “Eat to live/Food Meter” functionality, which I’m convinced is going to be twice as annoying as the Day to Night Mechanic but whatever people want it. You can actually get a full list of the updates here, as well as a look at what’s to come from future updates. Personally, I’m more excited about 1.9′s addition of Boss Mobs, but 1.8 is still going to be killer cool and will more than likely continue to keep me from using the hours of my life wisely. The trailer above gives us a look at some of the things we can expect with the release of this update. Now, the September 8th release date is to be considered a loose one, so I would get my hopes up too soon. That’s all for now…. Troll, out.

Dudleymornin’ Tuesday!

Thanks to AlexxShadenk777 and EventHubs for starting my morning off right with a little Dudley 3SO arcade run! News is a little slow this morning and frankly all I can think about is finishing Dead Island and not going to work, but I’m going to try and keep the posts/trollin’ flowin’ like wine. For now, if you’ve got 14 minutes, enjoy this video, and as always… Stay Classy!

Buy Zelda: Skyward Sword Collector’s Edition, get cheap gold remote for free!

Buy Zelda: Skyward Sword Collector’s Edition, get cheap gold remote for free!

I’m pretty sure the title sums this one up, but in case you’re just that thick, allow me to elaborate.  Nintendo announced today that the limited edition of The Legend of Zelda: Skyward Sword would come bundled with a golden Wii MotionPlus, as well as include a CD of performances from the upcoming Zelda 25th anniversary concert. I suppose its not a bad idea considering Skyward Sword requires a Wii MotionPlus to play, and not everyone still has taken the time to pick one up.

Personally, I’m still not feeling the hype around this Zelda, but I’ll probably end up picking this package up cause I’ll still play it, and as I too am one of those people without a MotionPlusWHAT?!?!?! DON’T JUDGE ME… I just haven’t turned my Wii on in over a year… you can go ahead and insert your cheap jokes at anytime. Look for it this on Launch day (November 20th) retailing at 69.99.

The Binding of Isaac reminds me of my time in Catholic School.

I have to hand it to Super Meat Boy‘s Co-Creator Edmund McMillen, he, and any member of Team Meat really, could have easily strayed away from their roots after the success of SMB. Ed’s new personal project , The Binding of Isaac, proves that he’s in no way shape or form interested in deviating from style. This latest trailer finally gives us a glimpse into the creepy world of Isaac. The game has been described as a “roguelike shooter” with heavy influence taken from 16-bit Action RPG era (think Zelda); personally I think it looks more more like a Smash TV-style game, but shrug.  The game follows the story of Isaac attempting to escape the clutches of his deranged mother who believes God is demanding her to sacrifice her son to prove her faith… Sounds charming

Look for it to launch via Steam for both Mac and PC this September.

Blind Man beats Abe’s Exoddus!

Blind Man beats Abe’s Exoddus!

We all know Belisle likes to tout himself as the end-all, be-all of gamers, but I don’t think he could ever compete with this gaming feat! Terry Garrett, a 23 year old mechanical engineering student from Colorado Springs, has beaten, and has done so numerous times, Abe’s Exoddus using ONLY SOUND! You hear me?!?! The-kids’-fuckin’-blind! I mean this shit doesn’t even make sense! I tried to tie my shoe laces once with my eyes closed and I fell over, hit my head, and woke up with 15 stitches!

Apparently, Mr Garrett contacted Oddworld a few months ago to let them know he absolutely owned their game in the face, and may, or may not have, a 36in cock! To see full interview click the link belowZ. In the meantime, we here at Golgotron would like to do something that we don’t do often, and that is tip our hats to a superior gamer. Well played, good sir. Well played!

Xenogears coming to PSN the Tuesday!

Xenogears coming to PSN the Tuesday!

Sony has apparently run out of options and is going back to the well. Announced today, and releasing this week, the PSOne fan favorite Xenogears has been in more demand than that god damn HD version of Final Fantasy 7. Personally, I was hoping for Suikoden 2 but I guess Sony is still hold a grudge from that time I shit on Kevin Butler’s desk… myah bad.

Regardless, Xenogears is one of Square’s classic RPGs from their so called “golden PS age” from way back in good ole’ 1998. It features the lovely, if o’so tired Active Time Battle system, and is know for its rich and deep storyline. Filled with enough melodrama, rhetorical questions, and giant robots to make even the most harden weeaboo cry, Xenogears drops to the PSN this Tuesday. I could care less, but I’ll probably buy it just because I buy everything… I hate not being inclusive.
