Microsoft let slip a video on Xbox Live today announcing the line-up for the House Party 2012 promotion. I’m still not sure exactly what Xbox Live Arcade games have to do with a bunch of twenty-somethings having a high-school house party, but I appreciate the effort in putting together quality titles under a single bannerhead for the purpose of sheer hype. Ready to see what’s going to be taking your money in coming month?

Do you have more Club Nintendo Rewards points than you know what to do with? Loaded up on posters, folders, and cards? Well then Club Nintendo has the cure. You can now download Virtual Console and eShop games for the Wii and 3DS.
The games available at this time are Super Mario Kart (Wii), Fluidity (Wii), Xevious (3DS), and Mario vs. Donkey Kong: Minis March Again (3DS). At 100-150 Club Nintendo coins each, these games are a steal. Normally they sell for $5. 99 to $12 each so get them while you can. They will be removed from Club Nintendo Rewards on January 10th.

Sticking with Microsoft’s new Metro obsession, get ready for page after page of flattened tiles, complete with nestled ads and a wide array of various sized boxes. Dice is not playing around with its first DLC for its big hit Battlefield 3. The promised free expansion that was given to consumers who bought the Special Edition of the game is more than just a map pack. It will give fans of the game 4 new maps, three new vehicles, ten new weapons, five new dog tags, five new achievements/trophies, and lastly a whole new game mode. The game mode while not exactly new, is the return of Conquest Assault which for those not familiar is a hectic version of Conquest. Conquest Assault starts with one team fully in control of every spot immediately putting one team on offensive and the other tasked to defend their territory.

Ladies and gentlemen, stop modding your Wiis. If a forum post and screen shot found in the NeoGAF Forums turns out to be true, you could be playing a localized version of Xenoblade Chronicles as early as 4/3/2012. The screen shot from the post, apparently from GameStop’s computer system, says that the game will be a GameStop exclusive and will have a price tag of $49.99. I did a quick check of the other games featured in the screen shot and everything matches up pretty well.
