Darksiders II for the Wii U: Shut Up and Take My Money

Darksiders II for the Wii U: Shut Up and Take My Money

Darksiders II has been confirmed to be in development for a couple of months now. This week, we learned some new details in the most unlikely of places. You would think that Vigil Games would have been given their new Darksiders title some space at the THQ’s booth on the E3 show floor. But no, the biggest announcement was made right before my eyes at the Nintendo press conference.  Darksiders II is on it’s way to the Wii U!

Nintendo Fans Unite for Operation Rainfall

Nintendo Fans Unite for Operation Rainfall

As Golgotron’s undisputed number one Nintendo fanboy, it is my duty to get as many eyes as possible on this story. A group of Wii owners (upset at the lack of quality games for the Wii as it dies a slow, painful death) have taken to the internets and the IGN message boards in hopes of gaining the attention of one Reggie Fils-Aime.

Bargain Bin Game of The Month: LEGO Batman

Bargain Bin Game of The Month: LEGO Batman

So I know what you are thinking. Why the hell is high brow Golgotron publishing a review for a game that came out in the Fall of 2008? The answer is that Best Buy gave me a free copy of the game with my new Xbox and I couldn’t sell it on Ebay because it was packaged in a paper sleeve. Ok well that is part of it but the other reason is because it is actually a pretty decent game for $10 bucks (or free).

Harmonix’s Last Gig With Viacom

Harmonix’s Last Gig With Viacom

Media czar Viacom is indeed selling Harmonix, but before you hang up the plastic axe and retire your sweatband, homeboys, you should know that the Rock Band and Dance Central developer has no plans to abandon its favorite franchises.

Quite the opposite in fact. Reps from both Viacom and Harmonix claim the company is negotiating with “several potential buyers” and will continue work on future Rock Band and Dance Central titles.

This split seems amicable enough. Whatever heavy hitter snaps up these goods doesn’t matter to me as long as Harmonix keeps pumping out the multiplayer dream games that save my friends from my obsession with N64 Mario Parties. Viacom does own a metric shit-ton of what some would refer to as “music” networks, but Harmonix should be able to function just fine without them.

Babysitting Mama Could Be an Effective Method of Birth Control

Babysitting Mama Could Be an Effective Method of Birth Control

I thought 505 Games and Majesco, the bigwigs behind the Cooking Mama franchise, had taken ridiculous leaps to keep this popular series of games going when they ventured away from the kitchen and out into the backyard with Gardening Mama.  Now I’m fairly certain that some higher up VP had a brain aneurysm or something, because Cooking Mama – while still maintaining her chef credentials – is now a master crafter and a babysitter.  Two games have been announced under the new Cooking Mama World franchise, aptly titled “Hobbies & Fun” for the Nintendo DS and “Babysitting Mama” for the Wii.  I’m here today to share with you some details and screenshots of the latter-mentioned game.

NBA JAM Rosters Released – Who Ya Got?

NBA JAM Rosters Released – Who Ya Got?

With the Eastern Conference rosters being announced a week ago, today they announced the Western Conference to give us a full list of the 30 teams and players available in the upcoming NBA Jam game for the Nintendo Wii (as well as a watered down version bundled with NBA Elite for Xbox 360 and Playstation 3).  Each team consists of at least 3 current players (some feature 4), as well as at least one legend, or, in the case where a team has no legend in its history, the team’s mascot! Well I don’t know about the rest of you, but when I see a list of rosters and players, I instantly want to try and figure out who I think the best teams will be.
