E3 2011 – Spider-Man: Edge of Time

Continuing in the same vein as X-Men Destiny, Activision and Beenox have taken a detour off the path to potential greatness with their newest Spidey venture, Spider-Man: Edge of Time.

E3 2011 – Resident Evil: Operation Raccoon City

E3 2011 – Resident Evil: Operation Raccoon City

So, on our first day of E3, I got my hands on an up and coming Capcom title, Resident Evil: Operation Raccoon City. Being a fan of the Resident Evil series for many years, I can say that I was very excited to sit down with this game and kill some good ol’ fashioned zombies. E3 2011 – Dead Island

E3 2011 – Dead Island

I got some hands-on time with Techland’s Dead Island at E3 this year and came away with a much better understanding of what up until that point had been a mystery to me. Review – Portal 2

Review – Portal 2

The release of Portal 2, much like the game itself, was a veritable overload of hype, frustration, and amazement. Those of you familiar with the original Portal remember the spectacularly positive critical response after its release, but no one could have expected the exceptional level of awesome that is found in Portal 2. As Doug Lombardi, director of marketing at Valve so eloquently put it, “Portal was a test bed. Portal 2 is a game.”

Review – Mortal Kombat

Review – Mortal Kombat

Mortal Kombat has returned in a big way. This ninth core title is a surprisingly robust package that completely lives up to the franchise’s once-great legacy. The game completely reinvigorates the series, harkening back to the easy-to-pick-up style of the arcade originals, while still packing in a wide array of modern fighting conventions to keep things fresh.
