    Remedy announced that it is going to be working with Imagination Studios for motion capture and character animation on their upcoming title Alan Wake. Any sort of update on the status of Alan Wake is a good thing seeing as how it was announced way back at E3 of 2005 and we still know very little about the game.     Maybe I am just reading into this too much, but it would seem that the new title from Infinity Ward will not be considered part of the Call of Duty series. The studio is responsible for creating the series as well as one of the most successful games of this generation, Call of Duty 4: Modern Warfare. Treyarch is the other studio responsible for titles like Call of Duty 3 as well as Call of Duty: World at War.     Call of Duty 4 Sales Hit 13 Million News | (0)
    That is a lot of copies. I guess Mike Griffith, publishing CEO of Activision, said something about it earlier today. It has been about a year and a half since the game first released. In comparison, that is more than any Halo game, more than GTA 3 and very close to GTA Vice city sales. I don't know the specific details but I assume it is across the PS3 and Xbox 360 with the GOTY editions as part of the number as well.     It doesn't surprise me that Activision is coming out with more Guitar Hero games but this is getting ridiculous. Today Activision confirmed the release of both Guitar Hero 5 as well as Guitar Hero: Van Halen. On top of that they also announced Band Hero and DJ Hero. The naming difference between Guitar Hero 5 and Band Hero confuses me a bit.     Richard Garriott, the creator of Ultima and Tabula Rasa, is suing former employer NCsoft for 24 million buckaroos. Of course any further detail is not known as it is an ongoing suit, but it looks as if the nature of the suite is related to, "Torts - Property - Other Fraud".     I came across some surprising and fantastic news today when reading through gamasutra.com's news column. Professor Layton and the Curious Village (Nintendo) was the top selling DS game on Amazon.com in both the North American and UK regions. The game outsold both the brand new Pokemon Platinum (Nintendo) as well as Grand Theft Auto: Chinatown Wars (Rockstar).
