With a perfect combination of addicting rhythm and psuedo-RTS elements, Patapon is one of the more unique and lovable series on the PSP. Much to my delight, the series has done well enough to warrant a third entry in the franchise, and it’s coming stateside next month!

Former Arkham Asylum warden Quincy Sharp has bought Gotham’s ghetto to make Arkham City after taking credit for stopping the Joker’s siege on Arkham Asylum and becoming mayor of Gotham. Yeah, that sounds like a good idea.

Detective stories have long been the bread and butter of Hollywood. From the film noir classics of the 30s and 40s that helped make Tinseltown what it is today, to the highly acclaimed C.S.I. franchise which has been the most popular dramatic series on television for over a decade, cop dramas make up the very framework of Hollywood, Los Angeles, and entertainment itself. Americans’ obsession with the boys (and girls) in blue has long been a profitable basis for both film and gaming and Team Bondi and Rockstar Games look to cash in on that fixation with their upcoming release, L.A. Noire.

Although far less vocal than fighting and sports game players, wrestling game enthusiasts are intensely particular about their genre; they more often than not, tend to go far lengths to experience new titles or support established franchises. This kind of genre-specific dedication is truly fascinating to me, but comes as no surprise, considering the huge impact professional wrestling has on different cultures. THQ, no stranger to the wresting game genre, is set to release WWE All Stars on March 29th. Although wrestling games seem to come out at a somewhat consistent clip, All Stars looks to set itself apart from the pack by approaching the genre not from the traditional wresting simulation angle, but as a wrestling/competitive fighting game hybrid.
