Pac-Man and Mega Man Announced for Street Fighter x Tekken

Capcom-Unity just announced and confirmed that Pac-Man and Mega Man are coming to Street Fighter x Tekken as PS3 and Playstation Vita exclusive characters. I’m not sure what Capcom has against (or planned for) the Xbox 360 community, but so far they have not announced any exclusives for the system. Either way, check out the new trailer and screenshots after the jump.

Review – The Link (Quick-Release JLF Shaft)

Review – The Link (Quick-Release JLF Shaft)

I spent the better part of a year traveling for work. I was on a plane twice a week and lived in hotels, and always in tow were my Xbox 360 and Mad Catz TE-S FightStick. Since the fantastic Mad Catz FightStick Carrier bag didn’t exist at the time, I used an Evo messenger bag which was unpadded but fit the stick — except for the protruding stick ball which gave the bag a definitive bag boner look and caused more than a couple issues with stick performance. While the FightStick Carrier bag is definitely well designed and provides ample protection for your TE stick, it’s large and somewhat proprietary so those looking to rock a Hori stick or to travel light would be out of luck. Enter The Link Quick-Release JLF Shaft replacement mod from PhreakMods.

Golgothoughts – Developers, Please Stop Listening To Fans

Golgothoughts – Developers, Please Stop Listening To Fans

Once again, Capcom is being pushed in a direction they did not want to go due to pressure from “fans”. This is how we ended up with Street Fighter IV instead of an advancement from Street Fighter III: 3rd Strike. This is how we ended up with Final Fantasy IX instead of an advancement from Final Fantasy VIII. This is how we ended up with Final Fantasy XIII-2, and now this is where we are getting Resident Evil 6.

CES 2012 Wrap Up

CES 2012 Wrap Up

After a long week spent scouring the CES 2012 convention, Chase and I sat down to weigh in on the fantastical things we had seen.  As it turns out, there actually wasn’t much that was truly surprising on the video game front. But hey, we’d traveled all the way to Vegas, so why not film ourselves talking it out? Here’s the coolest stuff we saw at the Sony and Microsoft booths, including Twisted Metal, Flight, and Nexiuz—a game that I apparently cannot bring myself to properly pronounce.

Golgothoughts – THQ Needs More Things Like CheapyD DLC

Golgothoughts – THQ Needs More Things Like CheapyD DLC

The rumor going around about THQ looking to sell to a Chinese investment company and canceling their 2014 lineup is probably true. I mean, how many years can you get by with WWE and Warhammer games being your flagship franchises? It’s a shame really, as I only came to respect THQ in the last year after finally getting around to Darksiders, and thoroughly enjoying WWE All-Stars and Saints Row: The Third. They’re also publishing the Obsidian-developed South Park game which looks fantastic, so hopefully they hold out as long as they can. I really think if they just focused more on what people like and less on collecting IPs to publish and lose money on, THQ could complete the turnaround they started early last year.

For now, revel is the wonder that is the CheapyD homie in Saints Row: The Third.
