Pac-Man and Mega Man Announced for Street Fighter x Tekken

Capcom-Unity just announced and confirmed that Pac-Man and Mega Man are coming to Street Fighter x Tekken as PS3 and Playstation Vita exclusive characters. I’m not sure what Capcom has against (or planned for) the Xbox 360 community, but so far they have not announced any exclusives for the system. Either way, check out the new trailer and screenshots after the jump.

Golgothoughts – Developers, Please Stop Listening To Fans

Golgothoughts – Developers, Please Stop Listening To Fans

Once again, Capcom is being pushed in a direction they did not want to go due to pressure from “fans”. This is how we ended up with Street Fighter IV instead of an advancement from Street Fighter III: 3rd Strike. This is how we ended up with Final Fantasy IX instead of an advancement from Final Fantasy VIII. This is how we ended up with Final Fantasy XIII-2, and now this is where we are getting Resident Evil 6.

Golgothoughts – Capcom Should Have Never Closed Clover

Golgothoughts – Capcom Should Have Never Closed Clover

First, a little background. The closure of Clover Studio by Capcom a few years back was seen as a bad idea in the view of many video game enthusiasts. Having only scratched the surface of their potential, they developed the fantastic Viewtiful Joe, God Hand, and Okami, before getting the boot from Capcom. Put simply, the team splintered off and ultimately Platinum Games came from that closure, and has since given us some of the more memorable and unique gameplay experiences with Bayonetta, Vanquish, Mad World, and Infinite Space. They’ve even been tapped to work with Kojima on the next Metal Gear Solid game.

So why bring this up now? Go play the Asura’s Wrath demo and tell me Capcom isn’t missing Clover Studio right about now.

Capcom 3, this November.

Don’t have a few minutes? Luckily, Capcom has lovingly broke down a few of the announced changes for us simpler folks, which you can go for a ride pour over after the break.

Ultimate Marvel vs Capcom 3 Is Not Taking You For A Ride

Ultimate Marvel vs Capcom 3 Is Not Taking You For A Ride

It seems these days that forums are full of youngsters with a false sense of entitlement. Many are saying Ultimate Marvel vs Capcom 3 is overpriced, under delivers, and is a straight rip-off. I figure it’s time to sit down and look at the numbers and rationale behind the upcoming Ultimate Marvel vs Capcom 3 and put some of these complaints to rest.

E3 2011 – Resident Evil: Operation Raccoon City

E3 2011 – Resident Evil: Operation Raccoon City

So, on our first day of E3, I got my hands on an up and coming Capcom title, Resident Evil: Operation Raccoon City. Being a fan of the Resident Evil series for many years, I can say that I was very excited to sit down with this game and kill some good ol’ fashioned zombies. While the idea of slaughtering flesh-hungry, super-virus infected people is not a new one by any means, this title looks like it will bring the RE series up to speed with nearly every modern day shooter by including basic gameplay elements that have been absent for the life of the franchise.
