Darksiders II for the Wii U: Shut Up and Take My Money

Darksiders II for the Wii U: Shut Up and Take My Money

Darksiders II has been confirmed to be in development for a couple of months now. This week, we learned some new details in the most unlikely of places. You would think that Vigil Games would have been given their new Darksiders title some space at the THQ’s booth on the E3 show floor. But no, the biggest announcement was made right before my eyes at the Nintendo press conference.  Darksiders II is on it’s way to the Wii U!

Nintendo Fans Unite for Operation Rainfall

Nintendo Fans Unite for Operation Rainfall

As Golgotron’s undisputed number one Nintendo fanboy, it is my duty to get as many eyes as possible on this story. A group of Wii owners (upset at the lack of quality games for the Wii as it dies a slow, painful death) have taken to the internets and the IGN message boards in hopes of gaining the attention of one Reggie Fils-Aime.

Nintendo “Project Cafe” Images Leaked!

Nintendo “Project Cafe” Images Leaked!

Nintendo’s next generation Wii console — currently codenamed “Project Cafe” — could land later this year, and we’re told will DEFINITELY be playable at this year’s E3… sure.  Regardless, the gaming worlds is all a flutter as new details and “possible” diagrams of the machine’s build for have leaked. One of NeoGaf‘s finest, has posted the following several images, which showcase some of the rumored features Nintendo‘s been hinting at. These include: controller displays, 1080p output with possible support for stereoscopic 3D, and will utilize AMD’s R700 GPU. Over at IGN, there’s a complete breakdown of all the known facts, and they’re already speculating at a $350.00 to $400.00 price tag. Before you start balking at the price eep in mind, Nintendo wants to win back the hardcore crowd, and to do that you need POWER (some pun intended). A $400.00 sticker price could certainly get you that. Pics after the jump…

Review – Super Street Fighter IV: 3D Edition

Review – Super Street Fighter IV: 3D Edition

Part of the reason I was so excited to get the 3DS was because it meant I could play Street Fighter IV. When it initially came out a few years ago, I completely missed the boat. It wasn’t until recently that I caught up on what I’d been missing – and boy was I missing a lot. Before I got the 3DS, I prepped up my Street Fighter expectations by playing the console version. Hadou-can this game live up to my expectations?

3DS Initial Impressions

3DS Initial Impressions

The Nintendo 3DS was launched a few days ago and, despite a severely waning interest in anything Nintendo, I picked up two units and a few launch games. Despite record pre-sales and a very hip gimmick, I personally know very few people who actually bit on the $249 price tag. I won’t get too deep into the specs or advertised features but for those of you on the fence, I’d like to share a few hands-on observations of the newest entry in the still-not-a-GameBoy line of Nintendo handhelds.

Review – Mario vs. Donkey Kong: Mini-Land Mayhem

Review – Mario vs. Donkey Kong: Mini-Land Mayhem

Nintendo released the 4th installment in the Mario vs. Donkey Kong series over the Holiday 2010 season and I have been pretty much sitting on this game the whole time. After owning the game for a couple of months, I dusted off my DSi XL and took the plastic of Mario vs. Donkey Kong: Mini-Land Mayhem. The Lemmings-like puzzle game was one of my favorites at the Nintendo booth from E3 2010. I had a really good time with the game, but is it for you?

Ocarina of Time Is Not the 3DS Zelda We Deserve

Ocarina of Time Is Not the 3DS Zelda We Deserve

At E3 2010, Nintendo announced that The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time was getting the remake treatment for the 3DS. Although regarded as the highest rated game of all time, sending Ocarina of Time to bat to represent the Legend of Zelda franchise on a new platform at this point is simply a bad idea.
